DG Software

Yotta DCL’s DG Software is a range of products for all walked and driven surveys. The concept of the DG range is to make the Surveyor’s job easier and act as an extension of the survey. The design and ongoing development of the software has been driven by the users to make the software efficient to use.

DG works in 3 layers:

• A series of Description files that are configured for each survey type
• The data collection software
• A data converter that converts the survey data into various data formats.

The DG description files support all known visual surveys – including UKPMS – and the Converter is UKPMS accredited for CVI and DVI surveys. Bespoke description files can be produced to cover any unusual survey types.

The data collection software is platform specific:

• DG2 – DOS based for the Husky range of devices (H16, MP2500, FS/2, FS/3, FS/GS)
• DG3 – Windows CE based and developed for the Itronix Q200
• DG4 – Windows XP based and designed primarily for CVI surveys.

For CVI surveys the DGT is recommended – a solid state distance measurement unit that has a seamless interface with all the DG software. This is ideal for CVI surveys as no manual input of distance will improve efficiency and accuracy of the survey.
